Tour Championship & Red River

Each year one OJGT invitational event is held. In the Regular Season tour schedule  are listed below:

OJGT/TJGT RED RIVER TEAM CUP CHALLENGE: At the end of October each season the OJGT plays an invitational event with and against the Texas Junior Golf Tour. It is called the Red River Team Challenge. The Red River is played at historic Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Each team regularly brings 48 of its best players (32 boys & 16 girls) and an individual and team competition is held. The OJGT selects its team with strict criteria based upon total regular season points rankings as well as the exemption list below. Commonly the AJGA gives PBE stars for top finishers in this event. The Red River is ranked very highly by the NJGS.
Exemption invitations are offered as follows:

1. All OJGT members who are ranked in the top 100 nationally by Footjoy/Titleist or NJGS as of September 1st of that season.
2. All OJGT members who qualify to play in the USGA Boys’ or Girls’ Junior Amateur Championships of that season.
3. The current OGA Boys and Girls Stroke Play Champions for that season if still eligible.
4. The winner of the Red River Challenge from the prior year if that player is otherwise eligible and a current member of the OJGT for that season.
5. The top point producing Boy and Girl from that season’s OJGT Spring Series

Note: All exempt invitees must be a member in good standing of the OJGT for that season. The invitees must have entered at least two OJGT events that regular season and/or OGA Junior. Exemption invitees will be notified as soon after September 1st as possible that they may play for the OJGT. They will have two weeks to commit to playing in the Red River Team Challenge for the OJGT.
