Owen Stamper of Scottsville, KY captured his second Oklahoma Open championship this week, winning the 112th Oklahoma Open at Oak Tree Country Club’s East Course in Edmond. Stamper, who also won the Oklahoma Open in 2024, put together three outstanding rounds of 64, 62 and 65 to finish at 19-under-par 191 and claim the title by five strokes.
Stamper took control of the championship with a spectacular second-round 62, then closed with a 7-under-par 65 on Saturday to finish well clear of the field. Brian Stark finished runner-up at 14-under 196, while Edmond’s own Zach Bauchou and amateur Exequiel Rodriguez Barri tied for third at 13-under 197. Exequiel claimed the low amateur honors with his solid finish.
The championship was played under challenging Oklahoma summer conditions, with extreme heat on Thursday followed by a 5 hour rain delay on Friday that pushed the completion of Round 2 & the cut into Saturday morning.
Stamper’s victory adds another chapter to his Oklahoma Open legacy, as he becomes a two-time champion after previously capturing the title in 2024. His consistent play throughout the 54-hole championship ultimately separated him from a talented field of professionals and amateurs.
